March for Babies - April Service Project

March for Babies, April 27th

Date: Saturday, April 27, 2013
Time: 10:00AM
Registration Time: 9:00AM
Loyola Athletic Complex
2550 Clyde Fant Parkway
Shreveport, LA 71105

It's America's favorite walking event! When you walk, you give hope to the babies born too soon or sick. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies, and it funds research to find answers to the serious problems that threaten our babies. We've been walking since 1970 and have raised an incredible $2.6 billion! Join the more than 7 million people who participate, donate and/or sponsor. There are plenty of opportunities for day-of-event exposure, activation and education - not to mention opportunities to meet hundreds of others who are just like you!

March for Babies is a required service project for ALL ASTRA MEMBERS in April.  Every Astra member is required to donate at least $10.00 to the March of Dimes.  You will will receive two service points for every five dollars you donate.  In addition, if you participate in the walk you will receive 15 service points.  In the past volunteers have been needed to work the event.  When I receive that information, I will send an email.  After Spring Break you can come by A229 to get and envelope and/or bank.  ALL money must be turned in with an envelope.

Posted below is a link if you would like to register for the walk online.
