GIRLS & BOYS STATE DELEGATES
It’s that time of year again to select our Girls/Boys state delegates. This is a summer leadership conference sponsored by the American Legion. The conference will be held June 22-June 28, 2014 at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
This prestigious program develops leadership skills, confidence and action-based understanding of the governmental process that gives young men and women a lasting foundation for personal and professional success.
The Parkway faculty and the American Legion will select the girls and boys to attend and represent Parkway High School at this conference.
If you are interested in being considered for this honor, please come by the Counselor’s office to sign up for consideration. You must meet certain criteria to be considered for this program. They are:
- Have at least a 3.0 gpa
- Must be available to attend the summer conference and have own transportation. If you are selected and do not attend the conference, without making arrangements for the alternate to take your place, you will have to pay the cost of the camp ($330.00).
The deadline to sign up for consideration will be Friday, March 7th by end of school day.
