Attention Senior Girls!
The Commission for Women of Bossier City is seeking applications from high school senior girls for its 2026-27 mentoring program. Mentees will participate in monthly sessions that empower young women and instill leadership skills. The deadline for applications to be turned in to high school senior counselors is at 12 p.m. Friday, August 21. Please visit https://bit.ly/4wfxkFf to complete the application.
The September 2026 ACT test registration deadline is this Friday. Students can sign into their account at www.myact.org to secure a seat.
Attendance is a big part of your child's success at school. In order to help with minor things that may occur, the district is taking up to five parent notes that will count as excused absences. This will cover up to five days during the entire school year. If your student is absent for any reason that may not be excused, please fill out the attached parent note and get it to the office.

Interested in joining Parkway Speech & Debate? Come to Mrs. Lepore’s room C131 on August 19th from 2:30 to 3:30 to hear all about it! Anyone interested in joining the team should attend, even if they attended an interest meeting in the spring of last year. See you there!

If you are interested in joining Parkway's Swim Team, please come by and see Mrs. Impson in A-135. Brief meeting will be held after school on August 12, 2026. Must attend this meeting for more information about the team, and swim season.
Want to be a part of the ACT 27+ Club?! Students are automatically in the "club" once they score an ACT Composite Score of 27 or higher! Those students will receive a free t-shirt that club members can wear to school the 27th of every month with school appropriate jeans. Club members will receive special recognition at graduation and will have the right to list ACT 27+ Club on resumes for colleges! See Mrs. Davis in A224 if you have any questions!
Open House Information
We will follow the schedule below for Open House. This is an opportunity for you to meet your student's teachers.. Oasis will be selling spirit shirts on campus in the AB commons area. All round 1 spirit wear can be picked up in the main office. If you do not have you son or daughter's schedule, they can be picked up in the Aux gym from 5:30-6:00. If you already have your child's schedule, feel free to show up to their A day 1st block at 6:00 pm. Remember, this event is for our parents. We are very excited to see all of you tonight!!

Temporary instructional permit (TIP), Parent or Guardian’s Driver Lic.)
Length of the Course: Aug. 27th – Dec. 31st 2026
Materials needed: Something to write with each day. Classroom set of the State books will be provided.
