It doesn’t look like the wintry blast will quite reach us in Bossier Parish, so Bossier Schools will be OPEN as normal Tuesday, January 21.
The latest forecast model from the National Weather Service shows, at the most, we might see a light dusting of dry snow with less than an inch of accumulation. Cold temperatures are the biggest threat, but you can expect our buses to be warm, schools nice and toasty, and hot meals ready to be served.

Parents, this night is designed to provide support for you as you complete the FAFSA for your student. The FAFSA is an important form that will be needed for your student to receive TOPS, Pell grants, and low interest rate loans. The Parkway counseling staff is happy to offer a group event to help you and your senior complete this step towards attending college. The best part is we will have trained state level personnel here to walk you through each step of the process. Good afternoon! After a briefing today with the National Weather Service and Bossier Parish emergency agencies, Bossier Schools will be open Thursday, January 9. However, the YEP program will be canceled and all extracurricular and after-school activities will be postponed until a later time.
We will continue to carefully monitor the forecast and provide an update at 4 p.m. Thursday regarding school operations on Friday.
